How long does flower preservation take?
Flower preservation typically takes 8–12 weeks from the time I receive your flowers. This includes carefully drying your flowers, designing your keepsake, and pouring and curing the resin. Because every piece is handcrafted, timing may vary depending on the size and complexity of your order.
How soon should I send or drop off my flowers?
As soon as possible! For the best preservation results, I recommend getting your flowers to me within 24–72 hours of your wedding, funeral, or special event. Local clients can arrange a drop-off in Cache Valley, Utah, and flowers can also be shipped to me from anywhere in the U.S.
The fresher your flowers are when I receive them, the better chance I have of preserving their shape and color beautifully.
Can I ship my flowers to you from anywhere in the U.S.?
Yes! I accept flowers for preservation from anywhere in the United States. I’ll provide simple shipping instructions to help your flowers arrive as safely and fresh as possible. Once your keepsake is complete, I’ll carefully package it and ship it back to you.
What types of flowers can be preserved?
Most flowers can be beautifully preserved in resin, including roses, peonies, ranunculus, daisies, carnations, hydrangeas, and many other varieties. Some flowers naturally preserve better than others, and colors may change slightly during the drying process. I carefully prepare each flower to preserve as much of its original shape, color, and beauty as possible.
Will my flowers change color during preservation?
Some color change is natural during the preservation process. I carefully dry and prepare each flower to retain as much of its original color as possible, but certain flowers may become slightly darker, lighter, or change tone. These natural variations are part of preserving real flowers and make every keepsake beautifully unique.
Can I customize the shape, size, and design of my keepsake?
Yes! You can choose from a variety of resin keepsake shapes, sizes, and styles. I’ll work with your flowers and preferences to create a design that feels personal and meaningful to you. Before your flowers are permanently set in resin, I’ll send you a photo of the design for your approval.
Will the resin turn yellow or amber over time?
All resin can naturally develop a warmer or amber tone as it ages. I use high-quality, UV-resistant resin designed to help slow this process and keep your keepsake clear and beautiful for as long as possible. To help protect your piece, I recommend displaying it away from direct sunlight, excessive heat, and prolonged UV exposure.
